Mr Kuang is on fine form again. And the oscarfor the most intolerant, least likeable, and by the sound of it, most unhappy person on the web goes to If we ask you nicely, will you go and annoy someone else? I change my plea. Gay organists are perfectly okay. Who is to say whether God is gay or not? This is not a flame.
I repeat: this is not a flame. Hope he's not anglo-catholic! H Gould and others "more about me" menu. Gay Organists? Jacques Perez. Reply to author. Report message as abuse. Show original message. A recent story in the New York Times referenced that Most organists are, for some unknown reason, gay. This was much talked about on the piporg-l mailing list. Brian MacGilvray.
Peter J. MingHui Kuang. Vance Maverick. That would involve having to contact the church organist where she would like to record to get permission to use the organ. Good luck with that, Diane! You have my sympathy, you poor thing. From my personal experience with church organists, many if not most church organists are most accurately described as los pendejos.
Is it the low salary or what? That all seems to have escaped them. If anything, most church organists are the opposite of all that. Los pendejos. Over time, I also came to not have much patience or even respect for los pendejos based on my previous experiences, but I tried not to let that show. I only went off on one organist locally in San Francisco because I had had it up to here with him and his nasty attitude and arrogance.
He was the worst of all of them. When I served as church organist in Anglican parishes, anyone who wanted to play the organ was welcome to play it. I did not take this childish possessive approach that many most?
Ulm Minster is one of my favorites see video below. And Diane had an excellent camera crew with Haney Productions. At her home, Diane Bish had a Rogers organ that was unfortunately lost in a fire around , and I would guess she probably bought that before she began working with the Allen Organ Company for her Diane Bish Signature Series DBSS Digital Organs, which from my understanding consists of digital samplings of her favourite organs that she played on her programme from her recording sessions in Europe.
Diane always explains things well. Instead, it is making the baseless assumption that the artist is sexually attracted to the other gender. There is nothing at all wrong with being gay or lesbian. They are very subtle and covert in their prejudiced, bigoted message. Imagine how organised religion would change if all GLBTQs came out of the closet, including the hypocritical clergy who are constantly spewing an anti-gay message in many churches while they themselves are gay.
Many, many artists are gay and they come in different flavours of art, including musicians organists. So good to hear! I know her programmes well. I watched them for years. She had her mother and father on the programme a couple of times. After they died, she dedicated a programme to each of them. Somebody is making that up to fit their anti-gay agenda. Susann was featured on the programme several times harp and organ.
But them living together is a problem to the anti-gay crowd. Why should it remain private, necessarily? Get some psychotherapy, pendejos.
That is extremely common. Most church organists are los pendejos. Until one of them comes forward with different information, the christian position would be to view the situation in the light most favorable to those involved. Doing less is evil and slanderous….
Her personal life is questionable. My source that did work for her and someone else associated closely with her related what I would characterize as highly uncomplimentary information. Whether factual or false cannot be known. Oh lord, what out-back, backwater cesspool of a hick town do these bigoted basura church organists come from?
During the conversation I mentioned that I played the organ he also plays keyboard instruments so we had that in common. Later he goes up to my wife, whispers something in her ear, she shakes her head and he walks away. Later I asked my wife what he asked her - but really I didn't have to Yep - just what I thought.
We still see him there occasionally and we talk to him like nothing was ever said. But, would my wife and I ever have been propositioned by a gay man if I did not mention that I played the organ? Comment Post Cancel.
Re: Gay organists I can't play knees together.. I haven't met that many - maybe ten - but it still was a surprising realization. Is anyone else's experience similar? I wonder how many people thought you were male and were interested in thisother organistfor those reasons? I had actually never thought of it until a fellow came up to me in college and said that he thought I was gay because I was an organist and because of how I walked.
I was already shy enough, and that didn't help matters much! That was back before being gay was fashionable. REAL music? Good Grief, only a Brit would think so.. I wasn't really being serious vis a vis the London clubs. Had you even heard of them before? No problem if not, but most American Episcopal a church you do not play for musicians would be familiar with at least some of Bairstow. Dyson's church music -especially his three settings of the Anglican canticles- are mainly known on this side of the pond.
But actually he wrote a fair amount of secular choral and orchestral music. Conservative, of course, but very well written. And btw, there's nothing Anglican at all about Elgar besides a few works he wrote on commission. That's just American ignorance to claim one has to be an Anglican to appreciate Elgar.
